In the eastern lands of Higara, the walls between animal, fey and god are often blurry. It is said that, if it lives long enough, a cat can grow a second tail, and awaken mystical powers.

Nekomata is an Ancestry for DRAW STEEL, developed as part of the Jams of the Timescape Volume II.

Based on the homonymous creatures of Japanese folklore, Nekomata were originally regular cats, but during their long lifespan they have gained a second tail, and have awakened! They disguise themselves as humans to walk amongst them, sometimes to help those who deserve it, often to punish those who have wronged them.
